Technology

At Wellspring Dental, we believe that investing in the latest technology is essential to providing our patients with the best care possible. That’s why we’ve incorporated cutting-edge equipment to enhance our diagnostic and treatment capabilities.

Low-Dose 3D Cone Beam CT

We use the latest in cone beam CT technology to provide patients with high-quality images at a lower dose of radiation than ever before. This allows us to visualize the airway and dental structures in three dimensions, aiding in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Intraoral Scanner

Our intraoral scanner captures detailed, 3D images of the mouth and teeth, eliminating the need for messy impressions. This technology allows for a more comfortable patient experience and produces precise digital models that can be used for treatment planning and fabrication of orthodontic appliances.

Phase Contrast Microscope and Saliva Testing

The phase contrast microscope provides a high-resolution view of microbes in the oral tissues, allowing us to individualize care to reduce gum inflammation. Combining information from the microscope and saliva testing, we are able to target therapies more precisely than ever before. Similar to how a physician uses bloodwork, as functional dentists, we now use saliva to help diagnose and treat.
An ever growing body of literature indicates a link between gum infections and systemic diseases. These include: cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal, colorectal cancer, diabetes insulin resistance, Alzheimer’s, respiratory tract infections and adverse pregnancy outcomes. One of the ways to discover what pathogens are present, is to take a sample of your biofilm and review it under a microscope. We are then able to differentiate the good bacteria from the harmful.
The presence of periodontal pathogens and their by-products in the mouth, may affect the immune response beyond the mouth. Swallowing this bacteria and chewing when gums bleed, can introduce pathogens into the gut and blood to promote systemic conditions. In addition, many systemic diseases can increase the severity of gum disease and the focus of controlling inflammation is critical to overall health and wellness. Click here for more information.

Same-Day Crowns with CAD/CAM Milling CEREC Technology

Wellspring Dental uses CAD/CAM technology to design and manufacture custom crowns in a single visit, eliminating the need for multiple appointments and temporary restorations. This technology produces highly precise restorations that are both durable and aesthetic.

3D Printing

Our 3D printer allows us to create precise models and some orthodontic appliances in-house, reducing turnaround time and improving accuracy. This technology also enables us to print surgical guides for complex procedures using a digital workflow.

Digital Workflow Planning

At Wellspring Dental, we use the latest digital technology to plan and execute treatments with greater accuracy and efficiency. This includes digital impressions, 3D imaging, and computer-aided design and manufacturing. By leveraging this technology, we can provide our patients with more precise and effective treatments, leading to better outcomes and a better patient experience.
